Oh Singapore!
-Jomish
As a new student of AFRC, it is my privilege to share my experiences while I visited Singapore. I love travelling and more than a hobby it is my passion and mission of life. I do hope in the coming days I can share more on the places I visited and I am going to visit.
Singapore is a land of joy and prosperity. Polite people, wonderful behavior. I feel they are ideal citizens .They keep their nation as clean as their home. And the government treat their citizens as if its own children. They have perfect infrastructure, they have standard roads and scientific traffic system.
Singapore metro is excellent. For me, Singapore is like a garden., or an expansive garden. Everywhere shining colours, sparkling crystal and smiling faces.
`Sentosa` island is one of the main attractions in Singapore. A haven for entertainment and sight seeing.
`Inrong bird park` and `Singapore zoo `are other attractions where tourists throng. These two places are rich with the world`s many species of birds and animals.
I have also visited `Science City` and China Town’. In Singapore majority of the population belong to China. So China town is a little China itself in essence.
Once Singapore was a fishing island. Then it was under British rule. Singapore`s progress towards modernization starts from the British rule. Now Singapore is a democratic country.
`Merlion park` is well known for its icon` Merlion statue` Merlion is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. Now` Merlion` is well known as the true symbol of Singapore.`Mer` means `sea` and the lion represents Singapores original name `Singapura` meaning `Lion city`
Singapore`s only one limitation is they do not have more land. But people are satisfied. We can see the remnant of a European culture here. I feel they maintain a high level of discipline and standard of living. The people are healthy and vibrant. A corruption free nation, truly we can say that Singapore is one of the greatest examples of modern Asia.
