HOW RICH ARE THE POOR !!
The Thirty Rupee Picnic J
Ramsheena YLP (In-charge: LV Library On Wheels)
Victor Hugoe
That day was sunshine from start to finish. All nature seemed to be on a vacation. The flower beds and lawns of Saint-Cloud were balmy with perfume; the breeze from the Seine vaguely stirred the leaves; the boughs were gesticulating in the wind; the bees were pillaging the jasmine; a whole bohemian crew of butterflies had settled in the yarrow, clover, and wild oats. The stately park of the King of France was invaded by a swarm of vagabonds, the birds.-from Les Miserables -The poor,

One of the memorable experiences
in my life is our 30 rupees picnic. We don’t think that we don’t have anything.
We have everything! It was proved on that day. We planned a picnic to one
tourist spot, a waterfall in Wayanad. Each student had to pay 150 rupees for
the picnic to rent a bus. But it was difficult to some of them to pay that much
money.
It was a big mistake of Benny sir. Because we were that much hungry .most of the students came without having their breakfast. We had iddali and sambar from there. Benny sir and the school chef gave us full vessel of iddaly. But it was completed within 10 minuts!! Then we walk through the campus and we had lunch together sitting on the road.it was a nice experience.
After the lunch Shanthi mam
shared some time with us. She talked about education, family and about human values.
We gave a gift to Akhi for his extra steps in leadership village. It was a big
surprise for him. Then Santhi mam distributed the AFRC summer camp certificates.
After that we walked through the forest.it was really funny. Then we returned
by KSRTC bus. It was first time we were singing in a KSRTC bus. All passengers
looked and smiled at us. We come back to our institute with a lot of evergreen memories.
Then we had lime juice and we leaved.it was only a 30rupees picnic…but our
experience was really valuable than 300 rupees.
