Wohoooo ….At last, the BIG DAY came up and I joined AFRC.. the climb up the turquoise blue stairs led me into that tiny classroom with blue colored walls and yellow curtains.. o wait.. m amritha, a psychology student from Bangalore..now lets get back. so continuing with the ‘entrance story’…. All I see is a bunch of young teenagers crowded around a round table jus talking….talking… talking … and…. TALKING!!!! Wondered whether AFRC is just about talking or is there anything else that I can see n do over here. ..Lol…
But then when u get into this talkatiee- walkatiee gang, (forgot to mention that I m extremely innovative with words and usages.. chill.. I did not join as the English teacher) u are surely gona drop ur jaws off… the gang learns grammar, speech and communication skills… anilji pulled me to the corner with an angelic smile n said.. “ammu.. u need to get started with ur work”.. “okay”, I said then I saw the sudden shift of his expression dat turned into any maths or physica teacher’s.. he gave me a whole intro about leadership village and leadcap which went waaaaaayy above my head.. hmm all that struck me was that I have quite A LOT to do here and learn abpout the institute and its project.. coz, this sprouting seed is far more dynmic than wat u n I can think of and its activities are on a global basis. The TWG (better remember the Talkatiee-Walkatiee Gang!!!) is given a global exposure .. I realized how much jus Walking.. Talking… singing .. making a skit or drama or playing can do for this gang ..
So the first lesson that I learned from the mighy TWG is that a lot can happen within these blue coloured noisy walls… so taking a break from the sophisticated easy chair classrooms with over head projectors and wifi facilities.. time to taste the simple.. yet fun filled … diverse and vibrant learning…..
